The Band

The band was formed in 2004 in Sieradz, Poland by the bassist (Lukasz) and the drummer (Kuba). Originally it was going to be a side project for the members of The Promontory, a metal/gothic band from Lodz, Poland.
However, as the time passed by, the project turned out to be a serious band. While recording the very first songs in a local studio (Sosna Studio) they were joined by the owner of the studio (Marcin) on a guitar and a controversial vocalist (Virus).
The style of the band is really difficult to describe just in few words, and it has much to do with individual preferences of the musicians. Each of us had been already playing in other bands, which brought many different influences and variety on the level of lyrics and music of Sound Allowed. What's more, we decided to experiment with our music, but keep it in rock, funk and pop frames. The band has played many indoor and outdoor gigs in the country as a headliner, which gave a lot of confidence to all the members.

In 2005 the band finished recording its first demo album. The recording contains four songs, and is available on iTunes.
The lyrics and music of Sound Allowed are strongly connected with everyday situations in our lives. However, subjects like politics and religion are also confronted in some songs. The band has always been influenced and inspired by nature surrounding us, and by injustice being done to it by the developing world.
Sound Allowed is the voice of consciousness that cares.
